MJMS PTSA Meeting Agenda

Review Budget - Lisa

Total money in $1,276.00, memberships $240, spirit shirts $320, memory book $700, donations $16

Hot Dog Hello Follow-up - Leslie

Great Volunteer turnout - THANK YOU!

Suggestions for next year? more tables to serve from, make a U shape with BBQ in the middle or

hot dogs at the end. Remind people that they can pay for dues, shirts and memory books that night.

PTSA Memberships-

-Approx. 143 members district has set out goal as 224

-Make sure all PTSA board members are sign-up

-Some teachers want to donate the $6 but not be members. Teachers would like a list    given to Dr. Hart as to whom has signed up or donated.

Lisa will get check from Debbie and mail our fee to Utah PTA

Display cases -

Dr. Hart has asked PTSA to decorate the display cases

- Ideas? Memory book display, white ribbon week display. A few ideas were given, Wendy Harker will

work on first display case and board will assist.

Student PTSA Activity -

When is the first one? Anyone interested in helping? Leslie M. will head up the first meeting

Thursday Sept. 19th 2:30. Get to know the PTSA students, play minute to win it, treat. Need adult help, we will meet in the cafeteria.

Activity? We will plan on food drive and christmas exchange

P/T Conference-

November 5 & 7

Sheri will send out email for volunteers for food. Talked about Texas Roadhouse and a surprise for teachers

Reflections - Leslie and Raylene

make flyer to go home with students with info, talk with teachers to see if they would be willing to have an assignment  that could be used as a reflections entry. Have teachers show the district clip on reflections in the classroom. Have a small party at the end to hand out awards.

White Ribbon week - Katrinia

Birthday Recognition - Jen and Cari

Granny B cookies - Aug & Sept. will be handed out sometime this week

Cari and Jen were working on getting the cookies out this week

Fundraiser - Leslie

Little Caesars Pizza Kits - End of October will run for about 1 ½ weeks pickup will be one of the night of back to school.

- Needs assessment Leslie M. will work on this, suggestion was to do a survey monkey and link it to the blog.

Teacher Scholarships - Wendy Jensen

- Not sure what we do? Leslie M. will get with Wendy Jensen and we will figure out grant forms, Amie was concerned about the write ups that teachers did last year. Teachers need to put in effort if we are going to award money.

Matt -

-New teacher VP Matt is working on getting us a teacher

- Old Mount Jordan Building Wednesday Sept 18, 5:30 meet and greet at the old building, will be doing a demolition and ground breaking also
