Every 3 years our bylaws have to be renewed. They will be posted in the office until April 13 1:00 pm. We will be voting to approve them at that time. If there is something you see that should be changed, please let me know as soon as possible.

Alternative Fundraiser
Our Fundraiser this year is simple:
Make a donation to help our PTSA give grants to our Teachers for their classroom, run Battle of the Books, our Student Association, Reflections, and anything we can do to help Mt Jordan Succeed! Print the Fundraiser Form and send into school or click on the paypal button to the right to pay by Credit Card.

THANK YOU!
We have had a great turn out for volunteers at everything that has been asked of us. Your service provides such a great element at our school! So, thank you so much.
We visited all the ELA classes on Monday, Sept 21 to present our Battle of the Books program for the year. It was so great to meet so many students and see them in their classrooms. Many took the form home and if you have questions, click on the Battle of the Books Tab above. Registration forms are due October 8th. The kickoff will be after school on October 13th. We hope all who love to read will take on this challenge and come compete with their peers!

BUDGET REVIEW;
-Rochelle Paid out 9 teacher grants, battle of books, birthday treats income- memberships $154, chick fil a $220, book fair
BATTLE OF THE BOOKS:
Andrea’ & Trish- 6 teams formed will have 4 more teams with a total of 10. Will need to have training for parents and volunteers for battle rounds. Might need some help in Nov. checking in with teams.
BOOK FAIR RESULTS/MONEY:
Jen- $819.10 from book fair , we have a credit with scholastic of $409.05. We would like to order 3 sets of buzzer to be used with Battle of the books, each set is $19.99. Will look into getting books for classrooms or prizes for battle of the books.
STUDENT PTSA ACTIVITY:
Lisa- Next activity is Wednesday Nov 12th. Will be doing a sock drive, collecting new socks for the Road home. Students will be decorating boxes to place in Teams 8 boxes total. Drive will run from 11/13- 11/25. Will have crazy sock day on Nov. 13th! Maybe a video?
DECEMBER BREAKFAST FOR TEACHERS? :
Sheri- Board thought this was a great idea, Leslie will talk with Sheri to coordinate.

Leslie- It was decided at our meeting that we will be having a Penny War in the spring for our fundraiser.
The board said they will come to the next meeting with ideas for a theme for our Penny War. Idea was CHANGE FOR OUR NEW CHANGE ( new building) We can make a video explaining what we are doing and the teachers can show it in the classrooms.
CLASSIC SKATE NIGHTS:
1/16/15 and 4/3/15 will start to advertise for the January skate night
SCHOOL MINUTE:
Matt/Molly: Matt expressed that MJMS has a fantastic PTSA, Kim Mitchell very impressed with what the PTSA does! GREAT WORK LADIES!!
REFLECTIONS:
Raylene- Due date is Dec. 1st, forms are in the office.
CHICK-FIL-A SPIRIT NIGHTS:
11-17, 2-9-15, 5-11-15 Good turnout for our first night, we received a check from Chick Fil A for $220. Easy money for us. Leslie will email Holly about using the Cow costume again, kids love see it in the school.
